Why do I need to sign in to use full features?
The emergency contact notification feature requires our server to automatically send emails when you miss a check-in. Without signing in, the server cannot identify you or your contacts, so it cannot send notifications. After signing in, your check-in status and contacts sync to our server, which regularly checks and sends notifications when needed.
Why do VIP features require signing in?
VIP core features (tiered notifications, full check-in history) rely on server-side processing. Tiered notifications require the server to send emails on Day 1, Day 3, and Day 7; check-in history requires server storage. These features cannot be implemented locally, so you need to sign in to use them. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, and you can enjoy VIP benefits after signing in.
What features are available in guest mode?
In guest mode, you can experience basic app features: daily check-in, adding emergency contacts (stored locally), and local check-in reminders. However, since data is not synced to the server, emergency contacts cannot receive notification emails. We recommend signing in to use the complete safety protection features.
